Mat Fox Coaching at the W's

Dear All,

Welcome to the Wallamba Football Club. The 2020 season is nearly upon us.

In preparation for this, the WFC Committee has committed to providing the coaching expertise of Mat Fox to our Miniroos teams/parents/team leaders/managers to get the new season underway.

Mat was for many years a coach educator and development officer at Football Northern NSW, our state governing body. He visited Nabiac in this capacity on a few occasions, and completely impressed us all with his professionalism, expertise, character and manner. So, the Committee thought we’d try entice him back to help us get 2020 started.

Mat has agreed to come for 4 weeks. The schedule of his visits is set out below.

Whilst the kids will love having Mat, the point of this exercise is to help all our Wallamba families with the coaching of our kids.

This is for ALL parents associated with the teams, or even just interested. Mat will coach the kids for these sessions, but they are intended to be DEMONSTRATIONS so that parents can get a vision of how the weekly training session might look. Where there is time, Mat will also do Q and A and sessions will also be interactive (parents get involved with Mat and the kids).

We’ve arranged the schedule around Mat’s availability, and so that we can get him to the kids (and the parents) before the season starts and then for the first couple of weeks of the season, noting the weekend breaks for holidays and Anzac Day.

We are confident you will find this helpful. All you need to do is come and watch and participate. Of course, not all parents will be able to attend but it would be great if at least those parents who are inclined to coach and/or manage their kids team, could find a way to be there.

These training sessions will not be broken into their Saturday teams. Age groups will train together for these weeks, to get the season underway.

Thanks for your support and hoping you find this of assistance.
